One of our favorite times during the day is reading time. I especially like it because it is one of the few times Ryan will sit still and cuddle up. Here are some of our favorite books.
~Mr. Brown Can Moo, Can You?
~Mommy Calls Me Monkeypants
~I Love You Good Night
~What's Wrong Little Pookie?
~Touch & Feel BABY ANIMALS. Ryan really loves to feel all of animals in this book.~Mommy Calls Me Monkeypants

We are currently into beginner reading books. Dr. Seuss and those like him. Go Dogs! Go!, Wacky Wednesday, Hop On Pop, Are You My Mother? Those kinds of books. He also likes nursery rhymes and things where he can contribute once he learns the book. I.e. we say most of the sentence and he finishes it. He loves The Very Hungry Caterpillar and all books like that. Anytime he can "participate" in the book he thinks that is super fun! I'll have to check out some of those books you mentioned. James loves Mr. Brown Can Moo and he likes doing all the sounds himself. Ryan will be doing that before you know it!
We love Mr. Brown can Moo too! :) Good job for starting the literacy early!
I can't wait to have reading time!!
Grace is VERY into all of Sandra Boynton's books right now. They are the current favorites. She especially loves the Barnyard Dance. Christine says Marty's the 'Master Reader' of that one. Reading time always was, and still is now that I'm a grandma, my favorite time of day. Thanks for keeping up with posting pics here...when I get lonely to see your faces I just pop out here and smile. Love you all....Pamela
I just love Sandra Boynton's books. She makes me laugh. I think our favorite one right now is "Snuggle Puppy" or possibly "Moo, Baa, La la la." My boys also love "If you give a mouse a cookie." I haven't found it in board book yet, but we could read the regular paper book for hours. My boys also like any book with ducks. We really like books around here. :)
