Excuses....

Well, I have a lot of excuses as to why I have not posted more about Ryan. First, I just had a baby-- however, this is not a very good excuse as he is the one I will be posting about most often now. Second, we decided to move last week. It really was not the most convenient time as I am still healing and we were given such short notice but we are getting settled. I was talking with my sister, Becky, who just had a baby and she has already posted twice about him. I was told that moving is just an excuse and not a very good one and she is right!

Thus, here are some pictures of what we have been up to. (In reverse order because I always forget that you have to load your pictures into your blog in reverse order that you want them to show up!)

This is Thanksgiving Point Gardens. They are so beautiful. We went to the children's garden and played in the water. Ryan mostly looked at the trees which he greatly enjoyed. I am holding Ryan in the Sleepy Wrap that Becky got me. He really likes it. Thanks again Aunt Becky.

This picture shows off Ryan's fat little tummy. (My mom calls him spaghetti because he is long and not very plump but he is starting to get a little more rolls on him.)

Daddy and Baby Ry having a little bit of tummy time together!

Below: Aunt Constance and Ry. She is having a little girl soon and Ryan helped her know what is feels like to be a mommy by spitting up all over her after he just ate.

Grandma Fila and Ryan at Thanksgiving Point. This time Grandmas has the sleepy wrap.

And here is Grandma Leavens with Ryan. Thank you for all your help Pamela when we were moving. How could we have managed without you?!

Finally, this is a wall hanging made for Ryan by his Great Grandma Green. She did such a beautiful job as she always does. It is hangs above Ryan's little cradle.

Announcing Ryan Oliver Roscheck

Ryan Oliver Roscheck finally came! A week late but he came! We both knew his name should be Ryan after seeing him for a little while.
Date: May 21, 2009 (His Grandma Fila's Birthday)
Weight: 6.7 lbs
Height: 19 inches

Ryan's arm is now 100% better (He didn't move it for about the first week because of some complications coming out.)

I will work on posting more pictures. Ryan is so darn cute but it's hard to catch his smiles in the moment.

Life is beautiful....

I went to the Tulip Festival with my favorite person in the world yesterday and thought I would share some of the beautiful pictures we got there! I love how the simple things in life make it so wonderful.

Doesn't this pathway just look so inviting?!

And here is the pregnant belly at 15 days to go! :)

Life is full of little beauties. What is beautiful to you?

Surprise!

A few sneaky friends of mine said that there was a surprise baby shower for another friend. Little did I know that it was a joint surprise baby shower for me and Jennifer. Thank you to everyone that put that together especially Katie and Analisa! You two are wonderful friends. Here's some pictures from it.

They made me the cutest "diaper cake." How fun!

Here a picture that shows a bit more of my belly. It is defiantly growing! I always think "How can I get any bigger?" but then I do!

I love Wymount and I love the friends that I have made here. It was such a wonderful surprise to get some very needed baby items. We have neglected getting together all of the baby things because school has been hectic. However, next Tuesday is the last day and then just finals. After that I am devoting full time to researching what baby stroller and car seat we are going to get and then making our house ready for a little one to come. Luckily we still have a little over a month left.

Sunny California

A few weeks ago I went to a Health Conference down in Longbeach, CA. It was so beautiful. We went to the aquarium and it was awesome. I really love fish! Anyway, I learned tonz at the conference. Dr. William Sears, one of the best pediatrician ever, spoke as well as Dr. Delia Garcia, Dr. Richard DeBois and Mitra Ray. It was excellent. I love to learn!

Here I am with some fish. It was difficult to get good pictures because of the lighting.

Here's Dad (Ed) with a bird. I wasn't interested in holding any of the birds.

Cold days can't keep fun away!

I had fun this past weekend with Alex, Elsie and Ashlyn. We went to Bridal Veil Falls, despite the freezing cold weather. Sometimes you just have to get out no matter what the weather is. The kids enjoyed playing with the ice. They became more and more daring as they crossed the water and as is expected someone fell in so that was the end of our trip. The ice waterfall really was beautiful though. Here are a few pictures from it.

Ashlyn and Elsie.

Above is Alex.
Below are Alex and Elsie.

On Sunday, Alex was ordained to the priesthood. It was a really neat experience. My brother Jason gave a beautiful blessing to Alex. I am so proud of the wonderful person Alex has become. It is crazy to see how fast he has grown up. I remember just playing peek-a-boo with him.

Here is our feasting after the event! Mike, Karen and Alex.

Any Ideas?

So for Christmas I got an AeroGarden, from my father in law, which is basically a sure way to grow herbs indoors without killing them. All you do is put in water when it tells you and a little nutrient tablet. Most of my herbs have done quite well. However, I do not know what do with so much mint and dill. Anyone have some good recipes or ideas? The only thing I know to do with mint is make mint tea and I am not a huge fan. I have really enjoyed my chives though. It is fun to have some green inside when everything else is looks dead out my window. Anyway here are the pictures of my little garden. I can't wait until the weather is good and I can start my porch garden again!
